    A glimpse of a next-gen Starwars *almost*

Lucasart finaly gave out some new consept snippets of the new upcoming "jedi knight" game thats due for ps3 (and quite possibly 360 as well) Entitled "Jedi knight: Force unleashed"... Im am just super-psyched about this game and its really nais to see that Lucasarts and ILM are working so close together and bringing the games up to movie type standards. I cant tell you how much jedi knight (jedi knight, jedi outcast and jedi academy) Ive played them to death (both singel and mp) and really loving them but still a bit sadent that they where using good`ol quake3 engine. Well times are changing for this truely looks like a new page in the genere.

  • Pre-vis trailer
  • *Btw, this is not ingame. Its only like the style and playbility that they imagine the final product should have. *Fingers crossed*

The first image from Blue Sky's next feature, Horton Hears a Who, based on a Dr. Seuss character.

Jim Carrey and Steve Carell provide the primary voices for the big-screen adaptation of Horton Hears a Who!, and here is its first look:

"Carrey, who is doing his first voice for an animated film, will play Horton, an elephant who hears the cries from a tiny civilization living on a speck of dust. Carell will play the mayor of Who-ville.

Horton Hears a Who, due March 14, 2008, will be the third film adaptation of a book by Ted Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss. And so far, the ventures have been money in the hat, er, bag.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas, also starring Carrey, raked in a cool $260 million in 2000. In 2003, The Cat in the Hat, starring Mike Myers, did $101 million.

Both films, however, took heat from some critics and fans for employing live action as opposed to the traditional animation that made both stories hits on television in the late 1960s and early '70s.

Chris Meledandri, head of 20th Century Fox's animated division, says that Horton will not employ any live action, though it will use computer-generated animation by Blue Sky Studios, which also did Ice Age.

"I certainly was aware of some fan criticism that had occurred" with the live-action films, Meledandri says. "But this will be all animated, and true to the style of Ted Geisel. I think our (animation) and our artists will transport an audience into this man's imagination in a way that hasn't been done before."

"That's the most important thing in getting his story right."

Wicked! I thought that the real life movies where shit. I watched "The Grinch" where carry as usual give his goofy face preformance and hand gestures accompaniment with awkward noises. It had the style but they got to hung up in the story and dident use the enviroment to its advantage. Ohh, how I wished Burton could have done that one.. And "The cat in the hat" I just scrolled trough. All in all I think that 3d/animation is the way to go with this new "Seuss" movie and Im really looking forward to it. Especially since its a well known firm as Blue Sky thats taking care of it.. yay!

Pan's Labyrinth - A movie by Guillermo del Toro

Ohhh... Now this is fresh. Something that sparks my love for the movies again after countless blows of useless, excruciatingly bad remakes and irritating none-creative sequels, someone finally made something worth waiting for.. (looks like the work of Mignola on the last one there. Sweet!)

    A stroll down memory lane...

    Share the mems!

I used to watch a hell of a lot of cartoons when I was a little toddler. I could spend days watching cartoon network or swedish tv3. And where up before 6 just to catch some anims. Looking back it was kinda scary and I dont blame my family for beeing worried and "forcing" me to spend a least 1-2 hours outside. Scary story I know, but Im now working with animations so it all paid of in the long run.. (I think?)
