Microsoft is backing Grand Theft Auto IV big time, and trashing the PS3 version while it’s at it.

While Microsoft UK said last week that it was supporting the launch of GTA IV like it was Halo 3, it has also sent out a mail taking the piss out of the reported mandatory five-minute install time on the PlayStation 3 version.

“I’m sure you’ve all seen the chatter… on the PS3 install time… just a few thoughts on what you could do in this time if you were actually playing the 360 version from the moment you insert the disc....

• Steal your first dozen or so cars and test out the improved vehicle handling?
• Check out the cool features on your mobile phone?
• Rack up a 5 Star Wanted Rating?
• Have a blast of your first MP game on Xbox LIVE?
• Ditch the tracksuit chic and buy some new clothes?
• Unlock your first GTA IV Achievement and boost your Gamerscore?
• Start downloading a film from Xbox LIVE Video Store to watch later


I dont really see why MS is beeing so goddamn cocky. Did MS take into account the red ring of death wave they have had lately? By the time you get your 360 back from repairs in some easterblock contry republic, people will be 97 packages found allready. MS has nothing to be smug about. They basicly pimped themself out to Rockstar for the extra content. I mean, from what Ive gatherd, on the PS3 you install the game to get minimum loadtime during gameplay. In the long run thats a good thing in my head. Besides since when was 5 min a long time? You know your in for a good treat and you can make a meal fit for GTA in that time. HA! What a joke!
